The Shoppes at Carlsbad is located at a high-traffic intersection in the affluent and densely populated community of Carlsbad and is home to a Forever 21, Victoria’s Secret, 12-screen Regal Cinemas, Macy’s, Vans and more than 100 other retailers. The retail center will undergo a comprehensive renovation, which will significantly enhance the overall shopping and social experience. Improvements will include a complete interior makeover and the addition of a contemporary and engaging streetscape to accommodate high-volume restaurants, which bring together the indoor and outdoor elements.
A new shopping environment inspired by the tranquil beach scene will attract visitors and appeal to residents of this coastal community. The Restaurant Row landscape improvement design comprises of a palm court, pottery row and outdoor seating areas, wherein each space embodies a casual elegance and Carlsbad lifestyle. Using lush plantings, modern furnishing and natural materials, shoppers engage with one another creating a vibrant shopping experience. A California friendly plant palette and low flow reclaimed water irrigation system are incorporated into the design to ensure approvals from City of Carlsbad Planning Division, San Diego Municipal Water District and County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health Land and Water Quality Division.
