The widening of the I-405 freeway between the SR-73 and I-605 will improve 16 miles of roadway and adjacent landscaping. The project includes adding one regular lane in each direction from Euclid Street to I-605 and making improvements to freeway entrances, exits and bridges. New express lanes (two lanes in each direction) will also be constructed incorporating the existing carpool lanes and connectors.

 

LCI delivered conceptual through final design for landscape and irrigation for the entire length of the project. LCI coordinated landscape planting and irrigation designs with Caltrans and five adjacent cities. Field support for project arborist was provided to identify and map the existing trees along the corridor and collaborate on the integration of the proposed and existing tree mitigation to meet the project's environmental requirements.
